Medicare Advantage (MA) plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. They must cover all services that Original Medicare (Part A + B) covers, but may have different cost-sharing, networks, and prior authorization requirements.
Many MA plans offer extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare: dental, vision, hearing, gym memberships, over-the-counter (OTC) allowances, and sometimes enhanced diabetic supply coverage.
